Multi-Flue Cap (Knock Down)

A Multi-Flue Cap (Knock Down) is a type of chimney cap designed to cover multiple flues in a single chimney structure. It typically comes in a disassembled form for easier transportation and installation, hence the “knock down” designation. The screen height is 10″ from the bottom flange to the top hood of the cap.  The cap provides protection against rain, snow, and debris, while also preventing animals like birds and squirrels from entering the chimney. It often features a mesh screen or sidewalls to improve airflow and keep out pests, and it’s usually made of durable materials like stainless steel or copper to withstand harsh weather conditions. Multi-flue caps are customizable to fit different chimney dimensions and configurations, offering a neat and functional solution for homes with multiple chimney flues.

IMPORTANT:

For flange option OUTSIDE the cap, keep in mind that the flange is 1.25″and when measuring the size of the cap, deduct a total of 3″ from the width and 3″ from the length of the cap so that the flanges will fit correctly on the top surface of the chimney.  

For flange option INSIDE the cap to install the cap flush with the brick of the chimney, do not deduct 3″ from the total width and length of the cap.  Keep in mind that the interior measurement with the four-sided flange pointing inward will not press into the flues and that there is enough space between the flues and the flange.
